Rodents such as mice and rats have similar habits, their breeding cycles, choice of place, activity and a liking to be in close proximity to human inhabited areas.

Mice are more a nuisance than they are a problem, their presence is usually recognised by droppings and from the scratching noise from behind walls and in floors.

Mice will gnaw, as do all rodents. They can cause small scale damage such as chewing of the outer casing to electrical wires or minor damage to woodwork. Rats are much larger in size than mice, their droppings are larger and more oval shape.

Rats gnaw everything and can easily cause serious issues to electrical wires, woodwork or walling. Rats can carry and spread disease and worthy of note Zoonotic Diseases (Zoonotic Disease) a disease that can bridge the gap between animal host and humans, as human beings we can contract these diseases from Rats. Rabbits can cause damage to gardens & plants. They carry germs and fleas and can also transmit diseases. Landowners are obligated by law to control rabbits on their property under Section One of the Pests Act 1954 by which England and Wales (except for the City of London, the Isles of Scilly and Skokholm Island) were declared a Rabbit Clearance Area. In this area, every occupier of land is responsible for destroying wild rabbits on their land or to take measures of preventing them from causing any damage.
